About the Plain Polish Lab: The laboratory conducts certification, training and language auditing activities aimed at simplifying the use of the Polish language in Polish companies and public offices. The Lab has provided services for entities such as the Social Insurance Institution, the National School of Public Administration, the Ministry of Finance and the Ombudsman. The activities of the laboratory increasingly simplify our lives, as evidenced by, among other things, an educational campaign aimed at improving written communication regarding European Funds, allowing more people to access European Funds and facilitating project implementation – “Prosto I kropka”.
Tomasz Piekot, PhD, linguist, communication expert, science popularizer, and academic lecturer at the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Wrocław. Author of writing guides. Since 2012, he is the head of the Plain Polish Lab at the University of Wrocław, which supports offices in simplifying documents and certifies simplified texts, including contracts and regulations. He conducts research on methods of simplifying and validating text.
