November 27th – Postanowienia cyfrowe w umowach handlowych

International economic law is increasingly addressing various issues relevant to the digital economy. Recent regional trade agreements include provisions on issues such as the free flow of data, access to algorithms, or the protection of personal data. However, the nature of these provisions may raise questions as to the values and standards that, for example, the European Union is trying to implement in regulating the digital economy (e.g. transparency, explainability).

The presentation provided an overview of the types of provisions adopted in trade agreements and attempted to assess their impact on the regulation of the digital economy.
