Dr Katarzyna Parchimowicz as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Amsterdam
Katarzyna Parchimowicz spent the last two months (September and October 2022) as Visiting Scholar at the Amsterdam Center for Law and Economics (ACLE) of the University of Amsterdam.
During this stay Katarzyna was working simultaneously on two different projects. First, she was polishing a paper written as a part of ECB Legal Research Programme 2022 on regulation of the relation between financial institutions and cloud services providers. She presented this paper during the ACLE-YSI Young Talents in Law & Finance Conference and received positive and insightful feedback. Second, Katarzyna started preliminary research for her new, more comprehensive project, aimed at addressing issues linked to regulation of new technologies, AML and financial entities. She presented draft outline during internal ACLE seminar and consulted it with Professor Alessio Pacces, Dr Edoardo Martino, Professor Giuseppe Dari Mattiacci, Professor Enrico Perotti and Dr Hossein Nabilou. Additionally, Katarzyna discussed a chapter she is invited to write for the Handbook on Comparative Financial Regulation (edited by Dr Martino, Dr Nabilou and Professor Pacces) to be published by Edward Elgar Publishing in early 2024. ACLE is looking forward to welcoming Katarzyna again in April 2023 for Authors’ Workshop regarding the latter.
