25th November 2021 – “Nowe technologie w prawie karnym – pożądane kierunki reform” Conference (New technologies in criminal law – desired directions of change)

On 25th November 2021, Digital Justice Center and Association Internationale de Droit Pénal – Polish section organized a conference “Nowe technologie w prawie karnym – pożądane kierunki reform”. The event was divided into three panels devoted to the issues of the influence of Artificial Intelligence on substantive and procedural criminal law. The first panel covered the ways of using new technologies in law enforcement and gathering evidence. During the second panel speakers talked about the digitization of preparatory and judicial proceedings. The last, third panel constituted an opportunity to discuss the use of artificial intelligence in decision-making in criminal law. It took place both in-person at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, Univeristy of Wrocław and online. We had the pleasure of listening to speeches delivered by recognized experts in the field of procedural criminal law and conducting a scientific discussion on the use of new technologies in criminal law and their impact on the criminal justice system.
