Dorota Czerwińska
Dr Dorota Czerwińska is a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Criminal Procedure (Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, University of Wroclaw).
Dorota has recently defended with distinction her doctoral dissertation on plea bargaining in light of criminal proceedings’ aims, including a comparative perspective, which she prepared under the supervision of Professor Jerzy Skorupka.”
During her doctoral studies she has participated as an investigator in national and international research projects currently run by Digital Justice Center: CrossJustice (Knowledge, Advisory and Capacity Building Information Tool for Criminal Procedural Rights in Judicial Cooperation; primary investigator: Karolina Kremens) and Compensation for wrongful conviction – theory and practice (primary investigator: Wojciech Jasiński). She has also been an investigator and the Core Group member in the COST Action CA17102 Police Stops (Action Chair: prof. Sofie de Kimpe, Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
Dorota is a principal investigator in the research project The Optimum Model of Plea Bargaining. Between Efficiency and Justice, granted by the National Science Centre in the Preludium 18 competition (project number: UMO-2019/35/N/HS5/03125).
Her research interests are focused on the negotiated justice mechanisms in criminal procedure, criminal policy and comparative criminal law.
Dorota is a foodie and a travel lover, particularly fond of Greece. She likes fantasy literature and rock music.
