
Dominika Kuźnicka-Błaszkowska
Dominika Kuźnicka-Błaszkowska is a researcher at the Digital Justice Center. She holds phd in law and specializes in personal data protection and digital rights. Currently her research focus on the impact of digital regulations on stability of banking systems and threats posed by deepfakes.
Dominika for years combined academic research with work in private sector. She worked in law offices, NGOs, held a position of Head of Legal Tech and Data Protection for EMEA region in international bank and commercial contract lawyer for client from Forbes500 list. In her practice she acted as DPO for commercial companies and NGOs.
Dominika is recognized specialists in the area of personal data protection, author of numerous articles, books, commentaries, frequent speaker at national and international events. She is a lecturer at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies where she shares her practical experience with students.
In her research Dominika strongly focuses on the efficiency of existing regulations and their interplay with business challenges. She strongly advocates for strengthening efficiency of human rights guarantees in tech world.
She was Principal Investigator in the Preludium project on the adequacy of personal data protection model in the United States in light of European solutions. The project allowed her to conduct research visits at Geothe University in Frankfurt, Georgia Institute of Technology and New York University. She spend her postdoctoral year at the School of Public Policy at Georgia Institute of Technology where she conducted her own course on Personal Data Protection in Global Business and coordinated research on the legal frameworks applicable to the use of deepfakes in Russo-Ukrainian war.
