New publication by Dominika Kuźnicka-Błaszkowska
The Digital Justice Center highlights a new publication by our member Dominika Kuźnicka-Błaszkowska: “The meaning of ‘adequate’ under GDPR – lessons learnt from EU bodies,” published in the Eastern European Journal of Transnational Relations.
The paper analyses how the European Commission, the EDPB and the CJEU define and apply the concept of “adequacy” in the context of international data transfers. It traces the core legal elements, examines inconsistencies in recent adequacy assessments, and discusses the consequences for businesses, regulators, and individuals—particularly given the ongoing scrutiny of EU-US transfer frameworks.
