Call for Research Stays at the Digital Justice Center

The Digital Justice Center invites applications for research stays planned for Spring, Summer, and Autumn 2026.

We welcome researchers at all career stages (from advanced PhD candidates to senior scholars) to join us for research visits ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months (applications for shorter or longer stays will also be considered).

📌 Why join us?
At the Digital Justice Center, we conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of law, technology, and justice. Our work covers:
– the impact of emerging technologies on criminal justice systems (AI in policing and adjudication, digital evidence, surveillance technologies, remote proceedings),
– international banking and financial regulation, especially regulation of systemically important institutions,
– plain language in law and legal communication,
– Islam and secularism in the legal context: a socio-legal analysis of the European adjudication,
– digital information law, including the Digital Services Act (DSA), GDPR, AI Act, regulation of deepfakes, and data altruism,
– international criminal law, particularly in technologically mediated contexts.
Our research contributes to international debates on the rule of law, human rights, and accountability in the digital age.

💡 We offer:
– access to literature collections and research facilities of the University of Wroclaw,
– integration in a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and international research environment,
– feedback on research ideas and ongoing projects,
– opportunities to engage with Digital Justice Center research initiatives,
– a supportive and inspiring academic atmosphere.
