We’re proud to share the latest paper by Dominika Kuźnicka-Błaszkowska, titled:
“From Data Sharing to Data Trust: Reclaiming Medical Secrecy in the European Health Data Space”, published in European Health and Pharmaceutical Law (EHPL) 3/2025.
The article explores how to balance large-scale health data sharing with the timeless duty of medical secrecy. While the European Health Data Space (EHDS) promotes research, innovation, and cross-border healthcare, it also puts to the test the very foundations of medicine: trust and confidentiality.
Dominika argues that medical secrecy should no longer be seen as a static legal rule, but as an active governance principle guiding how health data are accessed, shared, and protected.
