New publication by Karolina Kremens

We are thrilled to announce that Karolina Kremens is the author of a chapter titled Power to Search and Its Limits in Polish Criminal Investigations in the book Limits of Freedom of Public Authorities with Respect to Obtaining Evidence at the Stage of Investigation ed. Maria Rogacka-Rzewnicka (Brill, 2024, pages 182-208). 

This book addresses the fundamental importance of the protection of the individual from potential actions of state bodies that violate legally marked boundaries.  

Contributors provide a synthesis of knowledge regarding the admissibility of evidence in criminal proceedings, referring to evidence that is either prohibited or should be excluded under specific circumstances, as well as analyzing the criteria for admitting unlawfully obtained evidence. This comparative analysis of national evidentiary frameworks highlights key legislative trends and the commonalities shared across different legal systems.
