Michalina Marcia took part in the Legal Challenges of Disruptive Technologies workshop

On the 27-28th October DJC Research Assistant, Michalina Marcia, took part in the International Scientific Workshop I – Legal Challenges of Disruptive Technologies at the Kozminski University. The event was organized in collaboration with the University of Palermo, Masaryk University, and the AI LAW TECH Foundation, with a great contribution of Roman Bieda, CEO of the AI LAW TECH Foundation. In her presentation, Michalina explored how AI surveillance technologies can influence the right to information and if reaching the AI-driven ethical security can be possible.

The workshop constituted a great opportunity to discuss legal challenges posed by developing and deploying disruptive technologies. Michalina’s panel, Digital Trust – Surveillance and Cybersecurity, chaired by Vagelis Papakonstantinou, gave participants different perspectives on security and threats linked to emerging technologies, including deepfakes and bulk surveillance.
