
A new Assistant Professor in our team!
We are growing! On the 1st of July dr Kaja Kowalczewska joined our team as an Assistant Professor. Previously, Kaja supported Digital Justice Center activities as a Research Fellow. She attended conferences and research visits and actively participated in the center’s work.
Kaja graduated from the Jagiellonian University of Cracow, the University of Orléans in France, the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris and the College of Europe (Natolin Campus).
In December 2018 Kaja Kowalczewska defended her PhD dissertation entitled ‘Lethal systems with progressive autonomy – an international legal analysis’. For her dissertation she was awarded the first prize in the XXII edition of the Prof. Remigiusz Bierzanek competition organized by Polish Red Cross and Ministry of Education “Excellent Science” scholarship.
Her research will focus on the impact of new (also disruptive) technologies on public international law, international humanitarian law, international criminal law and human rights law.
