13th May 2022 – dr Katarzyna Parchimowicz – Do not get lost in the cloud
During the seminar Katarzyna Parchimowicz discussed the increasing recourse to the cloud services by the EU financial system. This presentation has been prepared by the author under the Legal Research Programme sponsored by the European Central Bank. In her work Katarzyna first attempts to identify legal and practical issues that EU financial institutions may encounter at different stages of their relation with cloud providers. Then, she analyzes cloud solutions/models at hand and proposes a technological set-up that could help mitigate some of the spotted issues.
Dr Katarzyna Parchimowicz, LL.M. Finance, is Associate Professor at Digital Justice Center (University of Wroclaw) and Associate Researcher at European Banking Institute in Frankfurt. She studied in Wrocław, Munich and Frankfurt. During her PhD studies she conducted research as a Visiting Scholar at University of Oxford and Duke Law School.
