New Student Research Assistant at the DJC

We are happy to announce that Aleksandra Maszyńska is joining us as our new Student Research Assistant.

Aleksandra is a fourth-year student at the College for Interdisciplinary Individual Studies at the University of Wrocław, where she combines law and Romance studies. In June 2025, she defended her bachelor’s thesis in Spanish philology at the Institute of Romance Philology at the University of Wrocław. In her thesis, she examined the impact of state policy on society by analysing the influence of Francoist propaganda on the image and legal status of women.

Her academic interests include criminal law, the impact of new technologies on criminal justice systems, human rights, comparative law and more. During her studies, Aleksandra has taken part in moot courts and summer schools. She participated in the Erasmus+ programme in Valencia, where she studied law and Spanish philology. She serves on the Board of the Student Research Circle for European Legal Culture. She is also an active member of several student research circles, where she has co-organised international and nationwide academic conferences and student events at the University. She is a winner of numerous distinctions and scientific awards, such as a scholarship granted by the Prime Minister or the High School Graduate of the Year. She was a member of the Council of the Faculty of Philology (as a student representative).

Aleksandra loves ballet and contemporary dance, swimming, travelling and Twenty One Pilots’ music. She also plays three musical instruments and speaks five languages.

We are delighted to have you on board!
