Restoring the Rule of Law in the Polish Prosecutor’s Office – a Step Towards Reform

On March 21, we wrapped up a two-day conference on Restoring the Rule of Law in the Polish Prosecutor’s Office, bringing together legal practitioners, academics, and policymakers.

At Digital Justice Center, we are proud to have contributed to organizing this essential discussion, with Barbara Pauli coordinating efforts of DJC team (including Kalina Romanowska, Michalina Marcia and Ola Bodzioch) and Karolina Kremens contributing her expertise. Key topics included ensuring prosecutorial independence, separating the roles of Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, and adapting to the challenges of cybercrime and international offenses.

A fair and independent prosecution system is a pillar of the rule of law. Thank you to all speakers and participants for shaping the debate on necessary reforms!

The conference was organized by the Association of Prosecutors Lex Super Omnia, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights and AIDP International Association of Penal Law.
