New research project with Kaja Kowalczewska on board!
We are excited to share details about an important research project, “In search of justice for core crimes in the digital age,” led by Hanna Kuczyńska (Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences), with Karolina Wierczyńska (Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences), Michał Nasiłowski (National Prosecutor’s Office) and Kaja Kowalczewska (Digital Justice Center)!
🔍 The project explores how digital evidence—including OSINT, satellite imagery, and forensic digital tools—can transform criminal proceedings for international crimes such as war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The research will focus on:
⚖️ The admissibility and management of digital evidence in courts
🕵️♂️ Investigative methods for large-scale crimes using big data
🔗 Integrating technology into criminal proceedings
As conflicts evolve, so must legal frameworks. This project aims to develop a new model for digital evidence management to ensure justice is both effective and technologically advanced.
