Internal seminar at the DJC

On October 28, we held an internal seminar that marked an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and growth. We were delighted to officially welcome our new team members: Ewa Górska, Giola Cami, and Małgorzata Kuśmierczyk, who each bring fresh perspectives and expertise to our center.

The event not only fostered a collaborative atmosphere but also allowed our members to present their current research projects, receiving valuable insights to drive their work forward. Here’s a snapshot of the insightful presentations that were shared:

  • Aleksandra Bodzioch – Clear Instructions for Victims? An Analysis of the Implementation of the Directive 2012/29 in Poland and France
  • Giola Cami – Data Processing and Protection in Criminal Law: A Study of Electronic Evidence Processing Under the Council of Europe Framework
  • Katarzyna Goclik – Material and procedural case selection methods
  • Konrad Kwiecień – Relationship between the principle of two-instance court proceedings and taking of evidence at the appellate hearing in criminal cases
  • Kamil Sobański – Public Nature of Criminal Proceedings in the Virtual Justice Era: European Perspective

Each presentation was followed by an engaging discussion, where team members provided constructive feedback, helping to refine and expand the presented ideas. This meeting was not just an opportunity to showcase research but also to strengthen our collective commitment to advancing digital justice. It underscored the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange in driving forward our mission to explore the future of justice in a digital world.
