
New Student Research Assistant at the DJC!
We are thrilled to welcome Małgorzata, our new Student Research Assistant! She is passionate about the intersection of law and new technologies, focusing on AI, surveillance, data law, and competition law in the digital sphere
Małgorzata is studying law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Taking full advantage of the academic mobility opportunities offered by the university, she spent the previous year in Rotterdam, at Erasmus University as part of the Erasmus+ exchange, and is currently doing her fourth year of studies at the University of Wrocław as part of the MOST program.
She is particularly interested in the intersection of law and new technologies, focusing on artificial intelligence, surveillance technologies, data law and competition law in the digital sphere. She is an advocate of legal design and the application of human-centered design principles to law.
She developed her research skills as an Affiliated Fellow at the “Private Law of Data: Concepts, Principles, Practices and Politics” Project (funded by Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, project no. 2020/37/K/HS5/02769) and through her participation in various workshops focused on law-tech, such as 10th Law Schools Global League Summer School, organized by the Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil. Now she is a Fellow in the CLEMENTEA (Consumer Law, Mental Health & Attention Economy) project which received funding under the OPUS 23 competition organized by the National Science Centre (Narodowe Centrum Nauki), project no. 2022/45/B/HS5/01419.
Her professional experience includes internships at United States House of Representatives, GovTech’s Digital Identity Department, working at Cameron McKenna, and AVSystem. She is a Founder of the CyberLaw UJ Student Association, a graduate of the FFIPP Europe – Educational Network for Human Rights in Palestine/Israel program and an organizer of the innovative student legal hackathon, Legal Triathlon.
In her free time Małgorzata loves to travel, eat and seek adventures.
