Wojciech Jasiński participated in 2024 ICON Annual Conference “The Future of Public Law: Resilience, Sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence”, which took place on 8-10 July 2024 in Madrid. The conference was hosted by the IE University Law School. During the conference, Wojciech chaired the “AI & Criminal Law” panel and presented a paper “Taming Pegasus – in quest for a fair balance between the protection of human rights and effective crime prevention and prosecution”. In the presentation he analyzed and critically assessed the approach of Polish courts and legal doctrine to the application of advanced surveillance methods in criminal investigations. The analysis was focused mainly on the use of Pegasus software for the purpose of collecting evidence in criminal cases.
