
DJC has its very first PhD student!
We are pleased to announce that as of October 1, 2023, Kamil Sobański our former Student Research Assistant, has (re)joined our Center as a PhD student!
The topic of his doctoral dissertation concerns remote proceedings before the International Criminal Court. The dissertation is supervised by Karolina Kremens. Accordingly, his research interests are procedural aspects of international criminal law and criminal procedure itself, as well as the impact of new technologies on criminal justice systems.
As part of his PhD studies, Kamil also teaches criminal procedure in cooperation with the Department of Criminal Procedure.
Few words about Kamil:
Kamil Sobański received his master’s degree in law from the University of Wrocław. He wrote his master’s thesis about using remote methods in proceedings before the International Criminal Court. Since January 2022 he has been a member of the DJC team (previously as a Student Research Assistant).
