Last week Wojciech Jasiński and Kaja Kowalczewska participated in the conference “The Impact of European and International Law on Criminal Procedure” hosted by the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie – Skłodowska University, Lublin (Poland). Wojciech shared a presentation on the impact of Directive 2016/343 and how it’s contributing to the strengthening of the protection of the presumption of innocence in Poland. Kaja discussed the vital importance of collaboration between public authorities and NGOs in investigations concerning international core crimes.
This event under the patronage of Association Internationale De Droit Pénal (AIDP), brought together a diverse and knowledgeable group of specialists from Polish universities, the University of Szeged in Hungary and the University of Luxembourg. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and here’s to more collaborative efforts and impactful discussions in the future!
