Kaja Kowalczewska’s academic appearances

Our work is not only about conducting research, but also about disseminating its results, and it is in this area that the last few days have been very intense for Kaja Kowalczewska. She started with a lecture on protection of civilians during hostilities at the 25th School of International Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflict in Radziejowice organized by the Polish Red Cross.

Then she presented her initial findings on digital evidence in the prosecution of war criminals at the 15th International Humanitarian Law Conference “New technologies on the modern battlefield” at the Polish Naval Academy. Finally, she opened the Droniada Tech conference organized by the Silesian University of Technology as a part of Droniada 2023, talking about where the boundaries should be placed in military and civilian applications of artificial intelligence. An undeniable highlight was Kaja receiving an award from the 15th International Humanitarian Law Conference organizing committee in the ‘GIRL Power’ category for her enthusiasm, unusual selection of topics and a breath of ‘modernity’ (scientific and otherwise).
