Dr. Kaja Kowalczewska participated in the 80th Biennial Conference of the International Law Association

On June 22, our researcher Kaja Kowalczewska presented her conclusion on Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems as  thinking bayonets during the 80th Biennial Conference of the International Law Association in Lisbon, Portugal.

One of her main conclusions was that:

• Technology is not neutral at all – is designed by man, used for his purposes, and governed by legal & ethical norms.

• Thus, it duplicates his shortcomings.

• But if properly adapted, it can eliminate the inherently human harmful factor.
