Karolina Kremens<\/a> and members of the working group on the Public Prosecution (Micha\u0142 Gabriel-W\u0119glowski, Robert Kmieciak, Micha\u0142 Mistygacz, Jaros\u0142aw Onyszczuk, and Ma\u0142gorzata Szeroczy\u0144ska) published an article in the leading Polish legal journal \u201cPa\u0144stwo i Prawo\u201d<\/em> on the reform of the public prosecution\u2019s system in Poland, outlining the assumptions of the draft bill and proposed directions for change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the article, the authors emphasize the need to eliminate provisions that preserve the supervisory role of senior prosecutors, abolish the extension of investigations and inquiries\u2014mechanisms unique in Europe\u2014and end the requirement for Polish prosecutors to attend every death scene and all autopsies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team operates within the Commission for the Codification of the System of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, which is responsible for drafting legislation concerning the judiciary and public prosecution.
