DJC has its very first PhD student!<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are pleased to announce that as of October 1, 2023, Kamil Soba\u0144ski our former Student Research Assistant, has (re)joined our Center as a PhD student! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The topic of his doctoral dissertation concerns remote proceedings before the International Criminal Court. The dissertation is supervised by Karolina Kremens<\/a>. Accordingly, his research interests are procedural aspects of international criminal law and criminal procedure itself, as well as the impact of new technologies on criminal justice systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of his PhD studies, Kamil also teaches criminal procedure in cooperation with the Department of Criminal Procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Few words about Kamil:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamil Soba\u0144ski received his master\u2019s degree in law from the University of Wroc\u0142aw<\/a>. He wrote his master\u2019s thesis about using remote methods in proceedings before the International Criminal Court. Since January 2022 he has been a member of the DJC team (previously as a Student Research Assistant). The PhD project will be carried out within the framework of the research project PRELUDIUM-BIS 4<\/a> “Virtual Justice. Remote Proceedings before the International Criminal Court \u2013 Threat or Opportunity<\/a>?” funded by the National Science Center<\/a> (No: 2022\/47\/O\/HS5\/01229<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
