Kalina Romanowska<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Kalina Romanowska is a PhD candidate in law at the Digital Justice Center. During her studies, she developed an interest in international public law, international criminal law and the impact of new technologies on criminal justice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She began her journey with the Digital Justice Center in 2024 as a Student Research Assistant. Kalina holds a master\u2019s degree in law from the University of Wroc\u0142aw, where her thesis examined the impact of technology on human trafficking and the European Union\u2019s legal response. She is currently pursuing her doctoral research at the Digital Justice Center as part of the project \u201cFrom Voices to Verdicts: The Role of User-Generated Evidence in Transforming International Criminal Justice<\/a>\u201d, led by Kaja Kowalczewska<\/a> and funded by the Polish National Science Centre.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her passion for international criminal procedure grew significantly during her participation in the IBA ICC Moot Court Competition in 2024 and 2025. Kalina served as Vice President of the Scientific Circle of Criminal Procedure and was an active member of the Student Research Group on Criminal Law, where she continued to develop her broader interest in criminal law. Through her involvement in The European Law Students\u2019 Association, she organized various events and conferences. As part of her work at the Center, she also served as Head of the Organizing Committee for the Virtual Justice in Europe Conference. For her academic achievements, she received the Rector\u2019s Scholarship for the best students at the University of Wroc\u0142aw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond her academic work, Kalina enjoys sports, music, reading, and traveling. She completed her first-degree music school in piano and developed a passion for basketball while working as a referee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
